Setup

  1. Get an API key from your preferred provider (links above)
  2. Open BlackBook Settings → AI Configuration
  3. Enter your API key(s)
  4. Select your default provider
  5. Click Save

Privacy

Your data stays private. When using AI features:

  • • Only the specific contact/text you're researching is sent
  • • API keys are stored locally on your computer
  • • No data is shared with BlackBook servers
  • • You can review what's sent in the AI chat interface

Using AI Research

  1. Open a contact's profile
  2. Click the "AI Research" button
  3. BlackBook will search for:
    • LinkedIn profile
    • Company information
    • Recent news mentions
    • Professional background
  4. Review and save relevant information
